To complete registration, the following is necessary:-

  • Filled in booking form
  • Payment of deposit of £200 per person which is then applied to the payment of the tour price. Final balance is due 90 days before the tour starts, you will be given the precise date when you book.

Late Registration

Any registrations made after 90 days before that particular tour starts will need to immediately pay in full.

Waiting List

If the tour is fully booked, we can place your name on a waiting list and will contact you if a space becomes available. Please advise us if you wish to remove your name from the list at any time.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

When you book a place on one of our tours you are entering a legally binding contract, which, if cancelled, will incur a cancellation charge.

Per person cancellation fees are based on date of notice to The Anne Boleyn Files and must be sent in writing via email to claire@theanneboleynfiles.com

  • Cancellation within 14 days of booking, if earlier than the 90 days preceding the tour - Full refund. See specific tour details for date.
  • Cancellation after 14 days of booking - £200 deposit retained.
  • Cancellations made in the 90 days preceding the start of tour – no refund.

Please note that no refunds will be given for any missed meals, accommodation or days out. Please understand that there will be no exceptions to our cancellation policy.

Insurance

The Anne Boleyn Files does not offer any form of travel insurance or cancellation insurance. As cancellation charges may apply if you need to cancel your place, we require all tour members to take out travel insurance/holiday insurance to cover you needing to cancel your place on the tour for illness or unforeseen events, or any travel delays you may experience in getting to London. As we know from experiences this year, you just never know when a volcano is going to erupt and affect travel plans!

Physical and Medical Considerations

To get the most from our tours you should be in good physical condition and be able to cope with walking around historic buildings, which may have uneven flooring, long walks and climbing stairs.
Whilst historic attractions welcome all visitors, the Tower of London for example has staircases, narrow passageways and cobbled pathways which wheelchair users would find difficult.

Itinerary Changes

The Anne Boleyn Files reserves the right to make improvements to the itinerary or changes, if circumstances beyond our control make them necessary. We will make every effort to keep to the planned itinerary and will contact you if any changes are made.

General Advice

Please make sure that you can get to London for pick up at the appropriate time and date. Make sure that you have passports, visas (if required) etc. sorted out well in advance of your holiday.

Tour members coming from the United States, Australia or other far away places may want to come to the UK a few days early, which is advisable anyway as you do not want to start the tour off being exhausted after travelling. We can advise you on places to visit and landmarks to see while you are in the UK, to make the most of your holiday.

Smoking Policy

For the comfort of all tour participants, we ask that there be no smoking during all group activities, including excursions, talks and meals.

Will you get the same amount of time spent on Anne Boleyn in the May tour of executed queens as there will be in the July tour that focuses just on Anne? Looking at the itinerary it appears that it would be the same.

    Hi Pat,
The July tour is obviously completely focused on Anne whereas the May tour is spread between the executed queens, but with a bit more focus on Anne. Each tour has Hever, Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace, but the July tour is spent completely at Hever and is 100% Anne based. July has 4 nights at Hever and May has 3 nights. I’ve tried to incorporate the main Anne things into both of them as Anne is obviously our favourite. I hope that helps.

I’m torn between the two, Anne is my favorite, but I have also read extensively on the other queens, in fact Mary Queen of Scots was the first entry for myself into Tudor England, and Richard III has always had a very soft spot in my heart. To see Bosworth field would be a wonderful experience also. It would be wonderful to be at the Tower on the anniversary of Anne’s execution. But then to spend the whole time just with Anne would be lovely also. What to do? Help

It is a tough one! I’d read the itineraries a couple of times and then go with your gut reaction!
