Itinerary
The Anne Boleyn Experience 2010 consists of the main three Tudor landmarks that relate to Anne Boleyn: the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Hever Castle. We will actually be staying at Anne Boleyn’s home - Hever Castle! We will, however, have chance to see other London landmarks and we can advise you on places to visit before and after the tour dates.

Day 1, May 17th – Coach pick up from London Victoria 4pm - you will be met by The Anne Boleyn Files creator, Claire Ridgway. Arrive at Anne Boleyn’s family home Hever Castle, Kent (about an hour out of London), check into rooms and enjoy a relaxing evening banquet (3 course luxury meal). An introductory talk will follow the evening meal and there will be plenty of time to chat and get to know each other.

Day 2, May 18th – Day at Hever Castle, Anne Boleyn’s family home. Enjoy a special Anne Boleyn focused guided tour of the castle followed by a buffet lunch and time to enjoy the gardens and grounds. A talk and slideshow from a Hever Castle historian will follow our evening banquet.
***NEW*** I have just booked “The Henry VIII Show” by On The Other Hand Theatre company who performed this show at the Tower of London.

Day 3, May 19th “Anne Boleyn Day” – Commemorate the death of Anne Boleyn by visiting the place of her execution and her final resting place – the Tower of London.

Our own personal award-winning guide will give us a special tour of the Tower of London, including attractions such as the Wharf and Traitor’s Gate, Bell Tower, Medieval Palace, Bloody Tower, Wakefield Tower including torture, Tower Green, the Scaffold Site, Queen’s House, Beauchamp Tower, St Peter ad Vincula Church, Jewel House, Martin Tower, Ravens and White Tower. Lunch will be taken at the Tower.
I’m sure that this will be a “moving” day, as we remember Anne Boleyn’s execution, and it will be great to share this experience with other Anne Boleyn fans and pay our respects to our Tudor heroine.

After the tower, we will get an opportunity to see some more of London’s famous historical landmarks on a panoramic coach tour of the city with our guide.
After our evening banquet back at Hever, we will enjoy a talk by historian and author, Elizabeth Norton author of “Anne Boleyn: Henry VIII’s Obsession”, “Jane Seymour: Henry VIII’s True Love”, “Anne of Cleves: Henry VIII’s Discarded Bride”, “Catherine Parr” and “She Wolves: The Notorious Queens of England. Elizabeth will be speaking about our heroine Anne Boleyn and will also be available questions and for book signing.
Day 4, May 20th - Today we enjoy a day at the sumptuous Hampton Court Palace with our own personal guide. Attractions include the Great Hall, exhibitions, the Palace maze, chapel, Tudor kitchens and 60 acres of gardens. Our wonderful day will end with an evening banquet at Hever, followed by a talk from Elizabeth (Bess) Chilver, an expert Tudor costumer, complete with Tudor costumes.

Day 5, May 21st - Breakfast at Hever and check out. A coach will take tour participants back to London Victoria where you can enjoy the rest of the day in London and carry on with your holiday.
I swear I would murder someone in order to go to this! I have dreamed my entire life to get to go to all of these places. Hopefully it’s annual so I can start saving now. Maybe I’ll make the trip in 2020.
Hi Claire,
I would love to go on this trip! But, my graduation is on May 20th. I would totally skip out on my graduation but my parents really want to see me at the ceremony. If only the trip was after the 20th…ho..hum.

YES! I would LOVE if this could be annual because I am not sure I can go…..ahh this is so fabulous, I could just die! This would be such a memorable trip! Will you be organizing this for 2011 forward?
Will you be doing the same for 2011? I think I am too late for this one, but would start saving for next year. Please let me know asap.

I am very interested as well, but would be coming from the US….any for next year?
This trip would be a dream come true! It sounds fabulous! Unfortunately, I live in the States and I’m also a teacher. I could never get the time off to go this time of year until I retire. I hope it’s still around in about 17 years!
Put me down for 2011, please. It sounds fabulous!
