Wow… this sounds so wonderful.. I want to go. What a great way to celebrate Anne. I hope she knows that people are still talking and reading about her.
This sounds so good I can hardly stand it… I was just saying to my husband the other day that there were no good tours for the “Boleyn lovers”…
Wicked excited!!!!!!!
Love the site
Hi Robin and Collie,
Hope you both can come. I’m hoping that some people bring partners along too so my husband won’t be the only one!!
I’m so excited!
Claire x
Claire!
What a wonderful tour! I so hope I can make it… it is the same tour I did myself this past May 19th (without all the special added touches). What you have organized is my dream!
Hope you can make it, Kristian, it would be lovely to meet you!
im probably the youngest anne fan out there. i love her so much and this tour is a dream come true!! being 13 i cant exactly afford the price but with a little more convincing and eye-lash batting im sure i can persuade my parents to pay for it. anyways, i know the minute i see annes grave i’ll just drop to my knees and cry, it’ll be so empowering. i cant wait to meet more anne fans!
When I had first read this.. I missed the whole part where YOU were creating the tour.. What a big deal for you! I hope it goes well! Definitely something that I would enjoy, but won’t be lucky or wealthy enough to attend! Good Luck!
I love the new look on the site btw.
Thanks, Marie! It’s been a lot of hard work organising it but it’s going to be worth it. Sorry you can’t come x
Wow Claire, this sounds so truly wonderful. Wish I could go, but maybe another year:) I would love to meet my fellow Anne Boleyn/Tudor fans! This sounds so amazing!
Hi Carrie,
Thanks! I’m sure I’ll be organising more.
The experience will be absolutely fabulous, wish I could be there, unfortunately funds will not allow, look forward to all the news after the trip has taken place and wish everyone who will be going a wonderful time
Thanks, Norma!
This is just amazing, the tour and organization is great and I just love it! I keep re-reading the details and can not get over how fabulous this whole experience would be. I suppose it will book up fast!
Congrats to the creator, you have done a wonderful job making this idea happen!
Is it booking up fast??
Oh! If this tour is successful would you consider doing it again?
Hi Lauren,
There are still spaces available at the moment but places are filling up as expected. Hope you can come! Yes, it is very much in my plan to do it again but I want to concentrate on making this the experience of a lifetime first!
oh I would loooove to go!!! I live in the US, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it…..not next year, maybe later, you should do it every year!
Claire, where do you sign up? I’m going to look into airfare costs from the US…
Hi Christina,
To book a space, you need to go to the booking page - http://tour.theanneboleynfiles.com/book-now/ - and pay a £200 deposit which will reserve that space for you. There’s travel info and links (if you need them) for flightbrokers etc. on the travel page - http://tour.theanneboleynfiles.com/travel/. Once you have booked, I will email you the booking form for more of your details and get your free book sent out a couple of weeks later.
Hope that helps. I’d love you to come!
Hey!
I would like to go on that tour very much too, but by that time i will have my final exam at school =((( So I’ve got a very important question: will that tour be proposed in 2011 too? and what about foreigners? for i am from austria….
Thank you for your reply
Yours Rasha
Hi Rasha,
The tour is open to all nationalities so you would be very welcome. I’m hoping to do one in 2011 but am concentrating on this one for now. I’m so sorry that you won’t be able to make it this time.
how do I sign up for the tour and what is the cost. Roll on next year.
You can see the costs per person on the Cost page and book your place with a deposit of £200 per person on that page or the Book Now page. The final balance is due by 16th February 2010 (aprrox 90 days before the tour). If you need to know the price in another currency, you can go to http://www.xe.com. The prices quoted are all inclusive of luxury accommodation at Hever Castle, all food, trips, speakers, tour guides, pack of books, goodie bag etc. but do not include any flights that you need to book to get to London.
I really hope you can come, Vera, I’m getting so excited about the tour and about meeting other Anne Boleyn fans!
I will plead and beg…i already made my parents feel bad for the 500th anniversary of Henrv V111 accesion. Alls i need and a passport, and some money! By the way im 14!
Hi Tyler,
It’s great that you want to come and I’d love to see you there, but you will need to bring a parent with you because of your age. Hope the pleading pays off!
Hello Clair
I actually did visit Hever, in April 1989, when I was taking part in a re-enactment, I always said I wanted to return, two questions, the most important, how much is this going to cost, secondly, being a strong believer in previous lives, it is important that, if this works out, and I can raise the cash to go, there is NO WAY I would be comfortable in modern clothes, do you think anyone would object if I wore appropriate apparral, perhaps since we are in London, we should make our presance felt and insist that Anne’s conviction be overturned….SHE WAS INNOCENT.
Talk soon
Hi Julia,
You can find out the cost of The Anne Boleyn Experience 2010 on the Cost page - http://tour.theanneboleynfiles.com/cost/. The prices are all inclusive of accommodation, food, trips, speakers etc. but do not include your initial transport to London. I’m not sure where you’re from but you could check out the Travel page for advice - http://tour.theanneboleynfiles.com/travel/.
You could wear Tudor style clothes but I’m not sure that they would be practical for travelling on the coach and walking round the Tower or Hampton Court. I have no objections to you wearing that type of apparel, as I’m sure that you’d look fantastic, but make sure that you are comfortable.
To get Anne pardoned would mean applying to the Home Secretary, which is what Wing Commander George Melville Jackson did and although he had much support (media and historians) his appeal was unsuccessful. He also appealed to the Queen but it was stated that the case was just far too old. Unfortunately Wing Commander Jackson died a few months ago. I agree that Anne was innocent and I would be interested in trying to get her pardoned or her conviction overturned.
WOW! Seriously??????
OH!! I’m with Julia. I want to be decked out in my Tudor reproducation gown. I was worried I’d be the only one. We need to be a BOLEYN PRESENCE!
Claire,
I see some interesting people are going on the tour! Maybe you could introduce us!
Linda
I don’t think Anne needs to have her conviction overturned. The fact that she has all of us here and now, 500 years later speaks volumes more so than a legal transcript. It will be interesting to see Allison Weirs new book about Anne, we will see that the story told up until now has a twist that at least explains why all of this happened to Anne and the men that died with her. I just wonder if Anne knew.
Oh sounds fantastic - I am a huge Anne Boleyn fan, even got some walk on parts in Showtime’s Tudors to get to wear some of those costumes. Count me in for a place!
Hi Linda,
Yes, there are some wonderful people coming. I thought I would set up a forum on here so that you could all get to know each other and discuss things - what do you think?
Wow, you lucky thing, Anne Marie! What costume did you get to wear and which episodes are you in? Hope you can come on the tour, it would be great to meet you. Use the “Book Now” page to book your place.
That sounds so interesting…i would so take that trip and learn more about Anne how fun that would be.
Hello!!
and its a little bit far away from London… hahaha and also because one £ = 20 pesos… sooo I need at least 50,000 pesos… which is the cost one semester of my university… : /
!!!!
THis sounds sooooo amazing!!! its my dream come true!!!! There are still places aviable?? hope so!! The only thing I need to work on is getting the money… because Im from Mexico
Anyway…. I hope i could make it!!! Im a HUGE fan of the tudors! I´ve read a looooot of books about them! and specially of ane boleyn!!!
maybe i would skip one semester to go… or sell a kidney… hahaha just kiding… maybe selling something or getting a job…. I dont know… but i will be there!!! no matter what!!!!
Thank you soooooo much for doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you going to organize more of this tours in case i dont get the money??? pleasee do so!
By the way Im 19 years old, its ok if I go by myself right?
Thanks again!!!!
Hope to see you all in May 2010!!!!
Oh my gooooddd!!!!!!!!! im sooooo exited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Paola,
Yes, there are still places available at the moment and I really hope that you can come too - but please don’t do anything rash!! I realise it’s a lot of money when you’re coming from overseas and we are staying in luxury accommodation too. I do hope to offer it again in the future because there are so many people who can’t make 2010.
19 is fine for coming by yourself so don’t worry about that. I really hope you can come, I’m very excited about it too!
Hi Claire,
I am so excited about this trip! I keep coming back to this website reading the info! I think it would be a great idea to set up a forum for those going! I would love to learn more about my fellow trip mates before arriving! Thanks for the wonderful site and great trip!
Memory G.
Wow. This sounds awesome! I would love to attend something like this. Ive loved Anne Bolyen and the tudor era for atleast 6 years now, starting with doomed queen anne which I read when I was a teenager(or preteen!) at 12. I am now 18, and basically all I ever read is about the tudor era!
Im definatly thinking about coming along, but not to sure how I can work it out with my schedule, Im working full time right know but I may be going back to school in January. I hope I could be able fit it in some how!
But I just wanted to also say this seems very thought out and Im impressed with all the work you put in to organizing this!!
Sarah
HI Sarah,
I really hope that you can work out your schedule to come!
Oh Claire I REALLY REALLY want to go! But it’s not possible now! How about a tour in 2013? Love your web site!
This sounds like the trip I have dreamed about all my life! I simply cannot afford to do it in 2010, but I hope that this will be a recurring event. Thank you for the fabulous opportunity and the fantastic website!
This sounds so fantastic!! I wish I could afford to go. Hopefully in the future you will continue this great tour and I will be able to book a room. i feel like I am really missing out on a wonderful part of history.
I really hope that those of you who can’t make it in 2010 will be able to make it another year. I do plan on doing more in the future.
I am so jealous. I am a HUGE Anne Boleyn enthusiast…well, an all Tudor enthusiast, but I have a special place for Anne. I was in London for my honeymoon in June and didn’t get around for Hever. Can’t afford the trip now, but I do hope there will be a round 2! Have fun everyone!
Hi Jennifer,
It’s a shame you can’t come in 2010 but look forward to meeting you another year. Congratulations on your wedding.
Wow this is like my dream come true!!!! I am 13 years old and this is the best Anne Boleyn site i have found in years!! I have been researching her for about a year and a half and i am absolutly fasinated by her! She is my role model and i wish so much that i could know more about her and meet her! I believe that she is innocent and i am so sad that i cant come to this amazing tour. I live in Australia so i cant make it without millions of dollars! haha! keep up the good work!
Wow…this looks amazing! I’m talking to my husband about booking! Can I wear my Tudor gowns?
Hi Kathryn,
I hope you can come! Of course you can wear your gowns - just imagine dining at Hever in the evenings in your gowns - wow!
One question - where will we have our dinners? In the Tudor Dining Hall of the Astor Wing or the dining room of the castle?
Hi Nancy,
We will be eating in the Astor Wing on the 17th, 19th and 20th but in the main Castle Dining Room on the evening of the 17th, the day that we are spending at Hever.
hey
i am big Anne Boleyn fan and unfortunately will not be able to make it next year. Wondering though if this is going to be yearly thing??? would love to be part of the tour if there is one in 2011.
I am hoping to make it a yearly thing. You can go on our mailing list by going to http://www.theanneboleynfiles.com and signing up for our Free Anne Boleyn report on the left hand side under “Subscribe Now”.
Wow! This is a wonderful project! I wish I could have been there but I will be in the middle of some important exams! Too bad! Enjoy it though!
i wish i could go on this it sound so much fun but i cant as i got other thing to do. hope there going to be one in 2011!
Please please do this again!!! Id love to come but cant afford it this year!! Would you consider maybe organising a ‘budget’ shorter trip for those who cant stretch to the full trip???? PLEASE!
Im sure well all be thinking of you. My husband arranged a weekend away in London this year for our anniversary to celebrate Henry viii 500th year! We visited Hampton Court Palace which was fantastic, but Hever Castle Blew my mind - its smaller than I expected but has the most amazing WOW factor, brought tears to my eyes just being in the same rooms Anne had been. ENJOY!! xx
Hi Emma,
That is a good idea to do a shorter trip, perhaps a weekend. I made The Anne Boleyn Tour 2010 the length it is because of people travelling from the US but a weekend would be ok for people in the UK and Europe. I’m not sure what we could do for a “budget” style trip because staying in Hever Castle is rather expensive, although it does include meals, beautiful rooms with 4 poster beds etc. and is very posh. London hotels are quite expensive too. I’ll have to get my thinking cap on!
Have a great new Year!
Claire
She was definitely innocent ! How very cruel of Queen Elizabeth II to not overturn her conviction ! Henry was a monster and it was so obvious he, via Cromwell, had her framed, so he could marry Jane Seymour and try for a son.
I am so sad I didn’t know about this earlier ! I’d already made my plans to come from the US to the UK in early May, and can’t change all the plane/hotel reservations now without much expense. Drat !
It sounds like a fabulous few days, and I have a feeling it will be QUITE a success !
Hope you want to do it again in 2011
What I’d like to do the MOST is take pictures inside Hever Castle… The dining room, her bedroom, etc., just the energy there was so powerful, imagining her there, and Henry…
And then at the Tower of London, see the site where her body is actually buried inside the chapel, instead of just being outside on the tower green… That isn’t even really the place of her actual beheading, is it ? I read somewhere that it wasn’t…
Looking forward to the Alison Weir book. I think I’ve read every biography of Anne written for the last 35 years !
Hi!
Is it possible to partake in the tour without the accomodation? We would love to come along, but live in London so don’t need accomodation.
BW,
Sara
Hi Sara,
The Anne Boleyn Experience 2010 is a package and all pricing etc. has been planned out as a package and it is not possible to have people partaking in parts of the tour I’m afraidsorry. I will think about that for the future though and perhaps do different options so that people who live locally can just come to the day parts etc. I am planning on doing a tour in 2011 and am also considering doing a weekend break so do keep in touch. If you sign up for the free report at http://www.theanneboleynfiles.com (left hand menu bar of homepage), you will receive news including future events.
Thanks so much for leaving your comment and I will definitely bear it in mind for future tours.
Oh Claire,
I wish I could but I can’t afford it right now. Have fun though, I really hope you enjoy youreself! One day I will see Hever & Hampton
Angelina
Hey Guys!!!!!
R.I.P Anne Boleyn. You rule!!!!
I really want to wish all those going on this trip, a FAB time, as it sounds perfect! Sadly I can’t make it, as I don’t have the money, but hopefully there will be plenty of more in the future.
I love the Tudor period (it was my favourate period in history), and I’m glad that I found this site. I agree with the comments up at the top, I do believe that Anne was innocent, and love the fact that she stood up to Henry on occasions. I also believe, that when Elizabeth became queen and ruled for 44 years, Anne was: A) Proud of her daughter and B) Must have enjoyed rubbing it in Henry’s face that it was their daughter who was his strongest heir and made the country powerful.
Ps Claire, I really hope you do this trip again for those who sadly couldn’t make it.
Sam

hi this sounds great i am mad about anne and this sounds like a dream i wud love to vist hever but i live in newcastle /gateshead (northeast england) and i havent a clue how to get there so if i booked up for this does it include transport ? how long does it take to see all that and if it was over night where would i stay ? please get back to me as i am really excited just reading this it sounds great thanks helen xxxx
Hi Helen,
I’ve just emailed you with details on the tour and also details of trains and coaches from Newcastle to London Victoria. I hope it helps and hope that you can join us.
Regards,
Claire
As this gets closer I get so sad I can’t attend, you thinking this will become annual so I can do it after college?
I really do wish I had known about this tour last year to start saving for it. It is really my dream trip of a life time to do an Anne trip and also to visit a few other Tudor related places, and to be able to stay at Hever Castle would be the ultimate dream! Should there be another tour of this magnitude please do let me know and I will place a deposit immediately! And I would be “The Most Happy”
Norma Howard-Vieweg
I was just wondering how long this will run for. Because this would be an awesome graduation present for me.
Are you going to be having this next year as well?
Oh gosh, this looks AMAZING. I would love to go but I’m not sure about my funds. Maybe if I don’t eat for a few months….???
I am so jealous. This looks fabulous. My mom and I went on a cruise in Italy, Greece & Turkey last year but if I had known about this we might have done it instead!!!!!
I have to win a lottery so that I can get there for this!
Hi,
I’m 15, so if I was to go would I have to bring my parents? I was wondering if I would because I live in London…
Beccie x
Hi Beccie,
Thanks for your interest. Yes, you would have to bring one of your parents on the tour because of your age.
{sigh} just a dream for me, just a dream.
can’t believe i have just discovered this web page!
definatly would love to go on the tour! have you decieded if there will be another tour, if so when?
i cant wait to find out how the tour goes, please publish i would like to know how it went and see all the fantastic pictures and videos!!
Hi Nik,
I’m in the middle of doing the rough planning for the May 2011 tour so it will definitely be going ahead. I will definitely publish photos and video of this May’s tour, don’t worry!
Oh dear, this would’ve been the experience of my dreams! Can’t believe I did not discover this page until now when it’s too late. But as consolation I’m aware of that I wouldn’t be able to make it anyway. I don’t have the money, I got school to think of and I’m too young (will turn 17 a week before the 2010 tour). I dearly hope that I will be able to make it sometime in the coming years, if there will be any tour then, because this experience is truthfully something I must go through! It’s a dream of mine.
Thank you for making dreams come true, although my dream will need to wait to be fulfilled.
Hi, This sounds absolutely fantastic, unfortunately because of my line of work chances are I will not be going on it for years
I hope plenty of photos from the event is posted online as I would love to see what went on. Hope the weather holds out for you all and enjoy yourselves!!!!!
Rich
I was so sad to have to cancel my reservation for the tour this year! I know you all are getting very excited with it getting so close. I will keep checking back with the site so I can get info for 2011!
I’m in the US and unfortunately won’t be able to attend, this sounds like a fantastic opportunity for all the Anne fans, wish I could be there with you.
OMG

I’m so gutted I didn’t see this earlier
I really want to go… Hope something happens in the future
Anyway I can get notifications of upcoming events?
Thanks. This is amazing
Hi Leonie,
I’m just finishing off doing the planning for next year’s tour in May 2011 which I will be launching when I get back from this year’s tour. If you want to join our mailing list and receive news and Anne Boleyn articles then you can sign up at http://www.theanneboleynfiles.com by filling in your name and email in “Subscribe Now” in the left hand side bar.
Thanks for your interest and I hope to meet you next year! x
I can’t believe there’s only a week left. So wish I was going. Maybe next year. I hope you all have a great time and I can’t wait to see all the photos Claire. You have to tell us all about it
Have a great time everyone! x
ohhh i wish you all the best and lots of fun on that amazing trip, i am jealous, hihihi
Maybe next year i will join to, this is like a dream to me…
Enjoy it all!!!
xd
So, now you’ve started your trip. I’m so jealous!
I hope noone had problems because of the volcanic ash…
I definitely want to join you next year. I’m already starting to save money for it, though it’s not easy for me beeing a student. Also I hope I will have the opportunety to join you, as I’m teaching at school next year. But it’s such a dream for me. So I’ll try to make it real!
I wish you all a wonderful time and I’m waiting for photos.
My Goooddd !!! I can’t believe it ! It sounds sooo amazing !! :O
I really want to come but don’t know if I’ll be able to :/ Depends on the results of my exams I guess ! But I think it’ll be too late when I receive it :’(
I wish I could go! I’m trying to see if it works financially… it sounds awesome!
Oh GOD!
It sounds so perfect :S. I’m only 18 and this summer i’m going to work to save money for next year or any year to go to the anne boleyn tour.
I read every detail and it sounds perfect…
I wish i have the money :S
sounds great, but as long as my dog lives i cant leave him (12th birthday next week….and ofcourse i wish him long life), so i guess i cant just wish all those happy participants to enjoy it next year and hope that one day i`ll join you on the trip. And talking to Eric Ives, he is my hero, i`ll be translating part of his book about Anne and if it will go well, maybe i`ll be able to let it be published in czech.
This would be so fantastic! I guess I should start saving. This would mean so much to me to be able to go!
I just watched “The Other Boleyn Girl” and I loved the movie. I would absolutely love to go!
